Happy Father's Day!

So. Today for Father's Day, Mike had an entire two days of sleeping in. He slept in both yesterday and today (normally he takes Saturday and I take Sunday). This morning as a little activity, Madison and I fingerpainted! Now, when the two words 'Madison' and 'fingerpaint' go together, you may think that it won't end well. Surprisingly, all paint stayed on either her or the paper. Only a tiny bit on the table which was easily wiped off. Overall, it was a good experience. We've got some father's day pictures for daddy when he wakes up. :D

Hat!

So, I bought this hat like... 6 years ago in NYC from a transvestite named 'Stephanie' for $3. Madison has been wearing it all morning. Although, it's way too big for her so most of the time it's down over her eyes.

Oh my god, a post!

Well, I went in to check on Madison to make sure that her fan wasn't on too high and she looked absolutely adorable. So I took a picture with my cell phone. Here it is!

We went to long island this weekend for easter weekend. It was a good time! I forgot to take pictures, but I'm sure Barbara will have plenty of pictures for me to put up here at some point soon.

Fingerpainting!

The picture is poor quality because I took it with my cell phone. (My camera somehow disappeared entirely... I have to rip my apartment apart now. I probably hid it from Madison and don't remember where I put it.)

So, this is Madison finger painting for the first time! She was mostly concerned about the large amounts of goop on her hands though as opposed to actually putting it on the paper. I was very surprised that she didn't try to eat the paint, and when she went to scratch her nose, she was actually aware that the paint was messy and used her arm to scratch her nose instead of her fingers.

It was fun!

Another video!

So. Madison's new thing is to pull her dresser drawers out of her dresser and bringing them to me... for no reason it seemed. Yesterday, she had to have it on the couch, and she had to climb into it. A cute video followed.

Time Outs.

Time outs are awful. A minute of Madison sitting in a chair that faces the wall with one of us holding her down. And she -screams- the entire time. Although, now I haven't had to put her in timeout because as she's moving to climb up the radiator (she persists, even though we had five timeouts in a row) I just say, "Madison" in a stern tone and she doesn't climb up, and does the drama queen crying she does in the chair. So we bypass the whole taking her off the radiator and putting her in the chair part.

That red on her cheek? The cherry lollipop that they gave her afterwards. Overall, the experience was a good one!

She uses the first shelf to climb up to the second, then crawls over to the radiator cover, then climbs onto the third shelf.

She's driving me crazy.
